ABOUT THE "CITY OF MELFORD"
Formerly known as the Maryland Science and Technology Center, this city is located at Maryland Routes 50 and 301 in Bowie. It is a 466-acre, mixed-use business community that will contain nearly three million sq. ft. of office space; approximately 200,000 sq. ft. of retail space; and a full-service hotel. We're hoping the city will have retail stores, shops and restaurants. Strategically located between Annapolis, Washington, DC, and Baltimore, this project offers a superior infrastructure system and is surrounded by a large and highly-educated work force.

Welcome to the Phil Towles for Mayor of Melford Website

Greetings!  My name is Phil Towles and I'm running for mayor of Melford. Melford is a new city that popped up mysteriously in Maryland, and needs strong leadership. I will bring that kind of leadership to this brand new city, so it can succeed. But I need your help. I need to know what would make Melford the place that YOU would want to live in.
I'm the "man with the plan and that'll preach!"
We need to remember, "The Dream is not what you see in sleep, dream is which does not let you sleep." Melford can be our dream if we work hard together.
Right now, I'm working hard at the office on the new campaign. Signs and bumper stickers being printed today. Request if you feel you can support us by sporting these goods.  Send your request for Campaign material to: PhilTowlesMelford@gmail.com.
I've been busy having meetings and developing new ideas for the community.
If YOU or anyone you know have special video talents, talents in general, or thinks they could add a little something to the Phil Towles Campaign, you are encouraged to share them!
Just send a note to the aforementioned email, or drop a comment here.
You can also follow the campaign on Facebook at:  https://www.facebook.com/Mayorphil
